News update:
Regular visitors may be pleased to see that I`ve replaced - or sold - many of previously displayed paintings.
I`ve explored other avenues of style and whilst aboriginal art is still my favourite,
I` ve moved on to portraits, an example of which is captured in "The Police".
I was fortunate to see the band`s concert live last year in Vienna and was so inspired that I copied this picture from a promotional T-shirt.
Still life or still scenes is another new avenue I`m pursuing - have a look at "Boathouse".
My painting "Dreams and Reality" is a small tribute to my wife Jane, whose face is central to the painting.
This work also captures many aspects of my own dreams and what is also my reality.
Embedded in the painting is a profile of myself, in my cricket shirt, as well as a picture of my son Julian, as a baby.
Not all my art turns out the way I intend to: rather I allow my brushes to lead me and ultimately surprise.
In February I was commissioned by a close family friend to produce a painting for her new study.
The work centred around an aboriginal theme but with vibrant pinks and greens, rather than the earth colours of ochre and red, such as those captured in "Sacred Tree".
I hope you enjoy my new works. Please drop me a line under "guestbook" - I`d love to hear from you!
